The Gulf Oil Spill Help Center has learned many of the fisheries workers impacted by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill worked for cash-no taxes paid. Apparently the oil companies are offering to pay fisheries workers-based on tax returns. The Group is saying, "aside from the impacted property owners in Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama, we are trying to figure out how to help these--now up the creek fisheries workers. What a mess?"
In additional developments, according to the Associated Press," The Obama administration asked the oil company's to be more open with the public by sharing such information as measurements of the leak, and the trajectory of the spill. BP has been accused of covering up the magnitude of the disaster." The Gulf Oil Spill Help Center is blasting the Obama Administration for its lack luster response to this Titanic environmental mess. The group says,"why have an EPA-why are the oil companies still running the show? Recently the Environmental Protection Agency directed BP to employ a less toxic form of the chemical dispersants it has been using to break up the oil and keep it from reaching the surface. Huh?"
